Here’s our 3 days 2 nights itinerary. I have also included the breakdown of expenses for each person.

Airport, Po Lin Monastery and Tan Tian Buddha in Lantau Island

Day 1 – Saturday – January 20, 2018

04:00 – Meet at MCIA
04:30 – Check In
06:10 – ETD MCIA, 5J 240
08:55 – ETA Hong Kong International Airport Terminal 1
09:15 – Buy On Loan Octopus Card, get free map at Tourism Booth
09:30 – Take S1 Bus at N35 Airport Bus Terminus (bound for Lantau Island)
10:00 – Get off At Citygate Tung Chung Town Centre
10:20 – Brunch at McDonalds at CityGate Mall
11:10 – Go to Ngong Ping Cable Car Terminus
11:30 – start of Queue (in case of long line waiting)
12:30 – Cable Car ride to Ngong Ping Village
13:00 – Start Tour Around Ngong Ping Village, Tian Tan Buddha, Po Ling
Monastery, lasty Wisdom Path (30 mins walk)
17:00 – Start Queue for cable car ride (if short line 17:30, Cable car closes at 6pm)
18:00 – Back to MTR Tung Chung Station
18:30 – take Tung Chung Line (orange) bound to Tsim Shah Tsui
– Interchange at Lai King Platform 2 (19 mins )towards Central, take the
Tsuen Wan Line (red)
19:10 – Get off at Tsim Shah Tsui Station
19:30 – Mirador Mansion
20:00 – Check In at New Garden Hostel, then Stroll at Garden of Stars (where Bruce Lee Statue is located)
21:00 – Dinner

HKD 100 – Extra Pocket Money

HKD 03.50 – S1 Bus (Airport -> Tung Chung)
HKD 16.90 – Tung Chung Line (Tung Chung -> Tsim Shah Tsui)
HKD 20.40 – Total Fare Day 1 (covered under Octopus Card)

 

Central, Victoria Peak, Mong Kok

Day 2 – Sunday – January 21, 2018

04:30 – wake up call, bath
05:30 – Early Walk around Tsim Sha Tsui
08:30 – Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry (15-20 mins ride, HKD 3.40 Upper Deck)
· MTR Tsim Sha Tsui Station, Exit L6. Walk to the Clock Tower along
Salisbury Road
· Take ferry bound to Central Pier 7
09:20 – Central Pier 7, stroll around Central and
10:30 – Brunch at MX
11:30 – Back to Exit K to meet the Klook Tour Guide
12:00 – Time to meet the Klook Guide at Statue Square
· Peak Tram, Madame Tussauds, Chocolate Museum
15:30 – Back to Central
· Dinner, stroll , shopping
18:00 – take ferry at Central Pier 7 (HKD 3.40, upper deck)
20:00 – Watch Symphony of Lights, outside the Hong Kong Cultural Centre
· Lasts 10 mins
20:30 – take Tsuen Wan Line (Tsim Sha Tsui -> Mong Kok) HKD 5.30
20:40 – Get off at Mong Kok Station
23:00 – Take Tsuen Wan Line back to Tsim Shah Tsui
· Last Train 00:48, Fare HKD 5.3

Day 3 – Monday – January 22, 2018

05:00 – wait for Bus A21 bound to Airport HKD 33
07:00 – Airport Counter Check In, Breakfast, return on loan card
09:45 – ETD Hong Kong International Airport Terminal 1
12:45 – ETA MCIA Philippines ☺

HKD  33 – Bus Fare
HKD 133 – Total Expenses for Day 3

Day 1 – HKD 814
Day 2 – HKD 300

Klook   – PHP 1,834 (Peak Tram Combo, 1 way special line, return ticket, Madame Tussauds, Chocolate Museum

Cable Car – PHP 1,400 (roundtrip, Ngong Ping)
PH expenses: PHP 12,862.59

Roughly, individual budget is around PHP 21,092.79. Meals do not usually cost around HKD 100, this is only an estimate. Local Meals usually cost around HKD 69 or HKD 59. You can have an option to add another budget for shopping at Mong Kok’s Ladies Market, make it sure that you are good in haggling in order to get good deals.
